STAZON INKPADS

Stazon ink pads are a chemical based inkpad that do just that.. it stays On.
Stazon can be stamped onto most surfaces that are dry and free from dust, dirt, etc.
Stazon can be stamped onto glass, pottery, plastic, wood, paper, card, acetate and many other surfaces providing the surface is clean and flat.

PIGMENT INKPADS and DYE INKPADS

PIGMENT INKPADS

Pigment Ink pads are different to a normal dye-based ink. They are thicker, richer and fade resistant. The inks are very bright and vivid in colour and work well on most papers and card.

Pigment inkpads are the best to use when using embossing powders as they have a slower drying time and will not fade when embossed. However, care should be taken to avoid any smudging until totally dry.

There are many different inkpads available and for newcomers to card making or scrapbooking they can be a little confusing. Basically there are two types that are frequently used. Use the following as a guide:

DYE INKPADS

Dye-based ink pads come in a variety of different colours, the pads we have available are water-based but are permanent once they are stamped onto paper or card. You can use them on all types of papers; plain, coloured, matt, glossy etc. But be cautious when using on embossed paper as some areas may not stamp evenly or may bleed or appear fuzzy.

They generally leave a good impression and dry quickly when used with a good quality rubber stamp.

Dye inks fade with time, they are not suitable for embossing because they dry too fast.
